It's a little bit funny ....

It's just a little funny how things work out these days. If anyone is wondering what the highest form of a compliment is ... it's when you encounter a copycat.

Everything about them screams YOU. They may not even be aware of the fact that they are trying to be like you, but in everything they say and do, it's very apparent. Whether it's something you have that they want, someone they want that you have, or they plain just love you and want to send you a pint of their blood (yeah, it's from a movie).  I am flattered when I encounter the copycat behavior, no matter what aspect of my life it happens to be.

I see it everywhere. Not just with myself, but I see it in a certain few of my friends. And, I notice it's the people that like the masses the least. Why, oh why do people flock to us? I do have to laugh at that because I hate people. Not the ones close to me, and not my family, of course. But, I can't stand most of the masses. It's hard to tell though ... I mask it well. You'd never know it because I can be the sweetest, most polite woman you ever met. Make you think I like you even more than I actually do. Some would call that being fake, I just call it being civil, polite, even friendly. You must have this skill in order to function as a normal, accepted human being. If we all ran around like unkempt monkeys, that would be no society at all. And, believe me ... I know a great deal of them unkempt monkeys. Ha!

In any case, I am always flattered when I see a copycat. So, thank you, copycats. You are most appreciated!

xoxo

  2. I disagree. I'm always eager to set the copy cats straight. A replica will never stand up to the auntenticity of an original. Let's face it, imitation crab tastes nothing like crab and a "channel" bag will never reflect the elegance or class of a Chanel bag. Knock offs are mean to be used a few times and tossed in the garbage or donated to the needy. I'm a fan of people who know what their level of quality is and shuffle into society accordingly. Love your blog!

  3. Thanks for your comment, wonderwoman. I see what you're getting at, and I agree. Knock-offs are not as good as the original, but it's flattering to see them try to be as good. You know? Kinda makes you think that you're doing something right. I mean, if you encounter someone trying to do it like you do.

Glad you're enjoying my blog. This is just one aspect of my life. It's entertaining to me, and I welcome the input. And, yes I did see your last comment. Haven't had a chance to reply yet. But, I will ....

  5. I see your point of view as well, having a goal is better than just merely existing. I know there's always someone I'm looking up to an emulating out there...

Thanks for appreciating the comments, blogging has always been the perfect venue for me letting out different streams of my personality as well. I've had several over the years. It's funny...though they are public, they feel very private. Strange concept but sometime you just have to let it out...plus I figure if I read a blog, it's always nice to write something if I have a thought. For me it feels good to know that authored items are being read (or that could be my ego talking, lol!)

  6. Before I created this blog, I had thought about it for about 2 years. Took me that long to finally start sharing. I thought "who would want to read about my experiences??" It still boggles my mind that there are readers out there that like my stuff.

It definitely is a strange concept, and it feels like I'm just writing for myself. But, when I check it every few days, it's nice to know that it's being read. And, even better when I see comments ... good or bad, I still appreciate that someone has taken the time to read what I have to say.

This is my only blog since I find it challenging at times to even keep it up. I've contemplated linking this to facebook or google+, but I'm still on the fence about it. I have other writing ventures online, and they keep me busy. My mind is always going, always thinking, and always working. I'm lucky to have found my passion for writing as a way to calm my active mind. And, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one out there needing to vent, or just spill it all over the page =)

I can relate, it is very time consuming but it's much more compelling to keep a blog focused on one theme. Thus, some of my more specialized blogs seemed appropriate as seperate entities.

The internet seems to have been created as a place for hyperactive minds to park.

As far as linking it to your social media, I wouldn't. Annonymity makes it much easier to unabashidly type your guts out!

  9. Yeah, good idea. Not gonna link it to anything on social media. It gets enough hits right where it is. Haha!
