Hello readers! Thanks again for tuning in ... this time, it's random things on my mind.
Last week, we started the reno' on my bathroom and I gotta say, I'm excited. It's a small job, but still happy to update my bathroom before the rest of the house gets tossed into complete renovation chaos! Upon completion, I am outfitting myself with a brand new bed since sleeping on my couch just ain't cutting it anymore. Why the couch, you ask? Well, my bed was tres old, worn out and just plain uncomfortable. These days, if I get the opportunity to sleep on a bed (of a relative, mind you!), I freakin' take it! Can't wait until I have my own, soft and yummy memory foam bed to crash on every night.
So, on Saturday, we went shopping for all new fixtures, new vanity and toilet for my bathroom. Sounds down right boring, doesn't it? I guess it's a different story when it's your own job. Quite happy to be at home depot making all those weighty decisions.
After our utility shopping outing, we made it home just in time for me to get B in the bath, as well as myself. I had a date that evening, and he wanted to get it started early. We picked up some dinner at Pietro's before going back to his place to make it a Netflix night. Very nice, relaxing ... but, wait! A trip to Gordon Biersch detoured the night, but not for long. The moto krew had been out, so we decided to join them for some live, really good jazz funk. After that, it was back to Netflix, and a sort of zombie apocalyptic movie.
It was a great night, and I'm so glad we got to just chill. Definitely having a great time with this one.
Now, we're in the middle of the week anticipating all the fun activities planned for the weekend. Friday, post work, we'll be enjoying "movie night" at B's school where they will be showing "Wreck It Ralph." We've already seen it, but we're going more for B ... so that she can have fun watching it with her friends. Early Saturday, B and I will be hosting a "Munchkin Day Out" for some of our friends. We'll start the morning off at the Children's Discovery Center, followed by lunch at Spaghetti Factory.
Sunday is Saint Patrick's day, and we'll be celebrating with friends at the beach with a fun bbq! Later in the day, we have passes to the movie "the Croods" showing at Dole, and that night ... The Walking Dead.
Yes readers, it's gonna be a busy one with lots of fun in store! I might be back later with another post ... xoxo
Lovin life!!! Have fun and stay safe!!!
