Hello readers! I am back with the weekend post ....
It was a pretty good one ... one where I actually went out! It HAS been a while, but I'm glad to have had the chance to go out and have a good time.
I went out with one of my readers. Yeah, I know it sounds funny, but I've known this guy for almost two years. So, it wasn't like I was going out with a total stranger. He's new to my blog and very enthusiastic about reading what's going on in my mind. Yay! One more for my audience!
So, we started the night trying to get a drink at DnB's but after checking out every one of their over-crowded bars, we decided to check out Bucca's downstairs. The dinner rush had passed, so there was room at their bar. We had a light dinner with a few beers to go with it. After that, we headed back upstairs for a late showing of Warm Bodies. Very good movie with a great soundtrack!
I tried to hook us up with some of the moto krew, but they were scattered, and I didn't want to stray into Waikiki. So, we went next door to REAL, a gastropub for a few drinks and some really good conversation.
It was a great night and I had a blast. He did too!
Saturday, B, Mom & I packed up the car for an afternoon out. First, it was to the doctor for B's annual check up and flu shot (yeah, it's late in the season, but I think it's better late than never!). She did great, and is growing up healthy and strong ... which really is all I could ask for. We then headed to McD's for lunch, and then to the Birthday Expo where Dad was managing the show. Got a lot of great ideas for B's 6th birthday this year!
After all that, B and I came home to relax. And, that's pretty much all I did the rest of the weekend. And, of course, I enjoyed the mid-season 3 premiere of The Walking Dead. Can't wait for next week's episode!
But, it is Monday and, as always, it got off to a slow start. Work as usual, but I can't help but have all these other things on my mind. Such as, plans for B's party, their munchkin day out that I'm planning for March, and pretty much consumed with all things kids. I am tired ... so ready to go home and reeeelaaax!
Later readers .....
